Already talkin' marriage

Kent will die once he reads this.. or I tell him.. since he probably won't get around to reading this for at least a few days. Busy man these days... anyway...

Today the kids and I were outside and Zoey was swinging, as was Nathan and Jon Kent was climbing all over the play set. Somehow or another marriage got brought up and our conversation went something like this...

Me (talking to Zoey): Someday when you are much, much older and you have finished going to school you will find a man to marry and you will have babies of your very own.
Zoey: A BIG man?
Me: Yep.
Jon Kent: I'll bring you flowers Zoey and marry you.
Me: Aww, how sweet.. but you can't marry your sister. You will have to find another girl to marry. And y'all can give me grandbabies...
Jon Kent: Will you be there when I'm married and a daddy?
Me: If God keeps me here I'll be there for you forever.
Zoey: Do I get to get a pretty dress? And do I get to dance with my man?
Me: Yes, you do.

Isn't that the cutest thing? Zoey has since been talking about getting to dance with her big man. When I told them they both had to be much bigger and had to finish going to school, Jon Kent had a mini melt down because he doesn't want to go to school.. period. *sigh* That's a whole 'nother post.

That is one of THE sweetest stories. I remember when my boys wanted to grow up and marry me. Now they think girls are gross... go figure.

I love kids. They are hilarious. JK doesn't like school, but he's cool with getting married and being a daddy.. well it's a plan. When my son was little if you asked him what do you want to be when you grow up. My son would say A TEENAGER.. go figure.
Take care, Chrissie

LOL... too funny. And so cute too.
Kids truly do say some of the funniest things.
Just this morning, Nicholas told me he wants to be a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle(his newest obsession) when he grows up.
Have a great weekend. =0)
