New Recipes. New Found Taste.

Since Kent got his pump we've been trying out different recipes and so far they have all been yummy. I've done a 15 minute BBQ sandwich. Kent cooked a chicken tacos last night and then tonight we had BBQ chicken with cheddar cheese and veggies in a foil packet. It was delicious. I've found out that onions aren't a bad thing. In fact, green onions are really good. Red bell peppers are good as well. Before doing this I would have never eaten a bell pepper. Just didn't appeal to me. But since I know now that whatever is on my plate is all I am getting, then I tend to want to eat whatever I can. And have found that it really does taste good. Before I liked the taste of onion, just not the texture.. but after giving a try again.. it's not so bad. I'm hoping to find some more good recipes to use and to put into our rotation.

In other news, Nathan got his 4th tooth this past weekend. I forgot to mention it. We currently call him the redneck baby or the snaggle tooth baby because he has this one big tooth on top and nothing else. So cute.

Kent cleaned out our coat closet which has also doubled as Kent's junk closet. I asked him to clean it out a few days ago and while looking it over it dawned on me.. "A really small play room." I know that sounds crazy, but with 3 kids and all their toys it just seems the smaller the child the bigger the toys it just made sense to use the space "differently" for now. Nathan loved it. I put all his bigger toys in there and he crawled right in and was playing with all his toys. When Zoey woke up from her nap she couldn't resist it either. It's amazing how such a small space can make kids love it all the more.

"Y'all come on in!"
"It's fun in here!"

Same when I started Weight Watchers...we always have onions, scallions, peppers, and garlic cloves on hand. Before, I'd never cooked with that stuff! LOL

Great idea with the closet!

XOXO

I'm glad you're enjoying your "new" foods. You can make some awesome meals with peppers and onions!

Looks like the small play room was a great idea. It is pretty funny how kids love small spaces like that more than lots of extra room.

Emily ~

I'd be happy to add you to my blog...just send me the e-mail address you use.

I honestly forgot that blog was private when I wrote that yesterday. I was just so excited by the news, I wasn't thinking. :)

A brief overview of the article...the vaccines injury courts awarded a little boy and his family $3 million dollars on 2/20/09 because of the overwhelming evidence that vaccines caused his autism.

I can't tell you how frustrating it is for parents to tell their doctors that they literally WATCHED their child slip away from them just days after their immunizations, only to be scoffed at. Why would we lie about something so serious? We're only trying to help our kids. When the government actually recognizes our cause in court cases like this, it's definitely a step in the right direction.

Vaccines just aren't safe for all children, plain and simple. The more quickly the government recognizes this fact, the healthier our children will be.

LOL...sorry, I started ramblin again. I'm just excited.

Anyway, if you'd like to read this journal...it's basically talking about the biomedical approach I'm using with Parker and the differences we see in him. I also discuss the vaccine issue there quite a bit as well, if it's something you're interested in reading.

XOXO
