Randomly Chatting

Tons of tidbits to talk about... Let's get started, shall we?

Last night was my final night of school. :::huge sigh of relief::: I'm hoping my grades post soon. I got my lab test back from my final lab in A&P. It was an 84. I was very disappointed. I felt really good about that lab. I knew all my muscle groups and such on the models, but it was those stupid arms and legs muscles that got me. Who knew there were so many of those boogers!?!?

We got our appraisals back from the two realtors that came out a couple weeks ago. Our house has lost value. Thanks to the lovely economy. We had about $12,000 in equity when we built the house three years ago. Now it's "worth" $4,000 less than we paid for it. Wonderful. We did pick our realtor though and she is supposed to come out Monday and hopefully the house will be on the market by the middle of next week.

The moving company sent out a surveyor to survey our house to see how much packing materials he would have to set up to bring and how many movers to send out to the house. It literally took him 15 minutes to go through my house, the storage building and the garage. Apparently we don't have a lot of stuff. That's a good thing in my book though. He should have been here last night though when we were cleaning out the storage building. It looked like it had thrown up into our back yard. It was pretty ridiculous. We got rid of a lot of stuff and burn even more.

We have our moving date (have I already written about this??? I'm too lazy to go back and check) of July 3rd. Yes, the day before the 4th. How crazy is that? The movers will come the 2nd, pack us up and then we will ship out the 3rd. When Kent told me that, it was the first time my heart sank. It's slowly becoming more real. I'm extremely proud of Kent and his ability to get this promotion, but at the same time.. I'm sad. I'm sure that's normal. I am excited about the move and am trying to look at this as an adventure. A time for us to spread our wings and see if we can fly. Oh how I hope we can fly.

Kent and I worked out together Monday. It was the first time Kent had really worked out hard like that in months. So naturally he was pretty sore that night. The next morning (Kent is going to kill me.. lol) Kent went to use the bathroom (TMI??) and said he thought he was going to have to call for me to help him off of the toilet. He said we thought he was going to have to bang in to work. He would have said something like this:
K: Hey, Lt. This is O'viller. I'm going to need 8 hours of sick leave.. I can't get off the crapper.
Is it wrong that I'm laughing? Out loud?

My workouts are going well. Usually I do about 20 minutes on the treadmill and then do some light weight training with 2 minutes of cardio in between each set of weights. I usually workout about 45 minutes. I hope to get that to an hour and 15 minutes eventually. I have missed working out. Gives me time to think and just get some stress out.

Well, that about does it for my randomness. I hope you have enjoyed it. I surely did.

Wow, I'm sorry about the value going down. That's awful. I hope that it will sell quickly, at least.

Sounds like you are doing a great job working out. I have been doing light weights but really need to start doing cardio. I am in horrible shape!

So exciting yet scary to have a move date! Like you said, it's an adventure for you and your family. As long as you have each other you'll all be just fine!

Okay, cracking up about Kent on the crapper. LOL

Hey, I feel his pain though. That's miserable when you're sore like that and it hurts to move at all.

I'm sorry to hear about the house. :(

And hey, GREAT JOB on the workouts. I have such a hard time getting motivated to exercise. I know I need to, but I always find myself making excuses.

Where does your motivation come from?

XOXO

My motivation is two things. The mirror.. I hate to look in it when I'm feeling bad about myself. I always feel better about my body when working out. And then the second reason is bathsuit season. Even with a tankini or a whole piece you can't hide any extra fluff. Ya know? So I work to get that in check.. at least somewhat.
