..down memory lane.
I'm 9 or 10 years old. Kent and I are "boyfriend and girlfriend". Technically we saw each other at church and liked each other so that made us "boyfriend and girlfriend". He went on vacation with his grandparents, I believe, and brought back a sand dollar necklace that he bought for me with his grass cuttin' money. So naturally, I needed to purchase something for him in return. Except I didn't cut grass. So my mom came to the rescue. We went to Wal-Mart and got him an I.D. bracelet. Had his name engraved and everything. Very snazzy for 1993 (??). Anyway, I gave it to him and was very proud of myself. The next time I saw him he came running up to me and showed me his ankle. There in all it's fake, gold, glory was the I.D bracelet that I had bought for him. It apparently didn't fit his wrist so he thought it would be great as an anklet.
I still bring up that story whenever I can.
Then this evening Kent and I were cleaning out our storage building and Kent found a box of old letters and stuff that I had written him. And there in the box was the anklet.. err.. I mean bracelet. A huge smile came over my face. It's just one of those things that is between us and will always be special to us. You know?
Ahh.. memories..

That's the sweetest story ever!
How sweet is that!?! I especially love it because I started 'dating' my husband really young as well... we were 8th graders. How neat- you don't hear stories like that often!
awww, thats exactly how God meant for it to be. what an awesome reminder!!
SWEET!
That is seriously one of the most adorable stories ever. Just the fact you guys were together most of your lives amazes me.
Not many couples can say that....
XOXO
