Friday, May 13, 1983, I was born into this world via c-section at approximately 9:45am. I was then taken to another hospital about an hour away because I was producing too much insulin. I didn't even have a name. Baby girl P_____ was my name for about 24 hours. I tend to favor Emily Elizabeth just a tad bit more. That was 26 years ago. It's hard to believe sometimes that I'm really this 'old'. I feel like I should still be 16. And here I am turning the corner and heading straight to my 30s.
Could someone please stop the car? I would like to get out now.
All in all today seemed just like any other day. Except.. I got presents. I got a gift card from my parents, flowers from my hubby, money from my in-laws and several other cards from friends. Kent is taking me shopping, to which there will be no sighs and no leaning on clothes racks. The kids also got me a card and signed it themselves. We also went out to eat at a local steakhouse and just enjoyed time spent as a family.
So, happy birthday to me. Here's hoping that time slows down.

I thought it was cool you were born on Fri the 13th. My birthday is on the 13th too but wasn't born on Fri. Altho I did turn 21 on Fri the 13th!

It doesn't. As I sit here at age 33, turning the corner to age 34, I can assure you it doesn't slow down.
Not only does it not slow down...IT GOES FASTER!
I'm a barrell of sunshine, right? LOL
But, I can also tell you, the 30's aren't as frightening as they seem. I was really sad to leave my twenty-something status though.
Anyway, sounds like you had a pretty darn good birthday and for that, I'm so happy. :)

Happy belated birthday. Here's a secret, the 30's are so much better than your 20's! IMO/IME!! :)
I look at it this way, GOD's given me the GIFT of another year, a gift, because tomorrow is not promised for a single one of us, so it's a gift. I getto see my babies grow for another year, I get to spend another year with my husband, my friends, family, etc.
