Our Day (Random)
We all "slept" in today. Jon Kent, Zoey and myself got out of bed around 7:30am and Nathan got up a little after 8am. That's sleeping in for us. Once Nathan woke up he gave me an explosive diaper. Literally.. he had peed soooo much that he blew out the diaper and those little absorbent balls were EVERYWHERE!!! It was a mess. So I just peeled all his clothes off and gave him a bath. He thought it was the greatest thing. He was getting a bath first thing in the morning for the first time in his life. Anyway... We ate breakfast and then had "school". Jon Kent absolutely loves doing school.. as long as it's at home. If you even talk about going to school he will get this terrified look on his face and yell, "Noooooo!" After school we played and read books. Later I made lunch and Zoey was "helping". We got to talking about me going to school. And once I'm done with school how I will be a nurse and working. She looks up at me with these huge tears in her eyes and says, "Am I getting a new mommy? I want you to stay here forever." Broke my heart. I tried to explain to her the best I knew how that I wasn't going anywhere. That I would be here for her. But there would be times where I'm at work, but someone else would be here, like daddy or a grandparent to take good care of them while I was gone. She wasn't having any of that. I finally just changed the subject. After lunch and nap we got dressed and went to my aunt's house. She did have the books that I needed so that was awesome! No having to buy books for me!! Yay!! Right when I was pulling into my aunt's drive she was on the phone trying to get in touch with someone because her car wouldn't start. Thankfully, we came just in time. So she rode with us to the college (she needed to check on something for her classes) and I grabbed my test scores. I got a 93 for my reading, a 99 for my writing and a.. drum roll please.. 33 for my math. Can you believe that? It was horrible. Thankfully I have already taken my math classes. It's amazing how much you forget when you don't use it often. I believe I remember scoring in the high 80's when I took it back in 2001 (only EIGHT years ago.. boy do I feel old). Anyway, my reading is really all I needed, so that's good. After that I dropped my aunt off at her work and we came home. We played outside for a bit. Then we came home and I cooked some supper. Now the kids are playing with their Aunt Kerith and Tim (hopefully Uncle Tim in the future). They are wiring the kids up for us.. lovely. Well, tomorrow night is my first night back in school. I'm anxious but ready to start. I'm hoping my brain isn't completely fried from having 3 kids in less than 4 years. Speaking of having kids, tomorrow will be Nathan's 9 month birthday.. you'll have to wait for the post tomorrow.. later!

More details
I only had like a few minutes to really tell of my new beginnings this afternoon. But now I have some time on my hands...
My academic counselor was really nice. And helpful. She gave me the 411 on all the do's and don'ts and told me things that I wouldn't have otherwise known about. I was so relieved that she was so nice. After she got my classes together I went and had them put into the computer. And then went ahead and took my COMPASS test. I only really needed to take the reading part of it to get my score so I could go ahead and start filling out my nursing applications. So I took that. I think I either did good or fair on the reading and writing parts. Now math (Daddy skip this part!!! ;X) I probably got like a zero on it. I'm good at math.. or should I say I was good at math. I guess since getting out of school, some of it has slipped my mind. I figure with a few refresher hours (if I needed them) I would be back on my game.. but today.. notsomuch. I was sitting in that computer lab (thankfully all alone) talking to myself saying things like, "Are you kidding me? 3x-3y over 3x+2y= WHAT? My daddy would die of embarrassment if he knew it was taking me this long to do this. Are you serious? Am I really supposed to know this stuff? I swear all the kids took my brains cells when they came out of the womb." It would have been some funny stuff to anyone else in the room.. had anyone else been there. But it was soooo not funny to me. Thankfully, my math score doesn't matter because I've already taken all the math courses that I needed. WHEW!!
After that I came home did some chores, fed the kids, got them down for naps, went and searched out the books I needed and then waited for the kids to get up from their naps so I could go BACK to the college and get my schedule changed. Now Karen here is the answer to your question.. I could have gotten online to do my schedule if it weren't my first semester there. But since it is, I have to do all my scheduling in the office this time. But next time I can do it all online, thankfully. Because I think the ladies up there (they are nice and helpful) were just really frazzled today and were just trying to get people in and out.
Anyway, I went back up there and got it changed and my daddy came by and paid my tuition (thank you again!!!). I even may have gotten my daddy another teaching gig (LOL).
I start classes Wednesday. I have Psy-210 on MW from 6:30-7:45pm and then Bio-201 on TuThu from 4:05-6:20pm.
I have an aunt who has already taken these classes and if the books are the same is willing to leaned me her books. Which would be awesome. That way I wouldn't have to worry about buying books. So, hopefully that will work out.
Well there ya have it.. I'm going back to school. It's one thing I can check off my New Year's resolutions.

New Beginnings
Well folks.. I'm a college student once more. I went and registered today, took my COMPASS test and I am now enrolled for BIO-201 and PSY-200, although now that I see that.. I think they gave me the wrong PSY class because I've already taken 200. Bah! I'll just have to go back up there and change my schedule. Wonderful. ANYWAY, the main point is that I did it.. I took the first step. It wasn't nearly as bad as I made it out to me in my head. Whew!

Budding Photographers
My two budding photographers got their chance with the camera today.
I think it was so cute how they both wanted to take pictures of Nathan. And on Zoey's first shot Jon Kent looked at it and sighed and then said, "Zoey, you're not supposed to take pictures of the floor!". LOL. So funny.

Oh dear. Take Two
OK, so my day got better. It usually does. Thanks to my husband. He is a great listener. And when he comes home from work it just seems.. better. Weird. Pathetic to some.. but he is truly my rock here on earth. I love him for it.
OK, so in my last post I failed to mention that I'm also totally freaking out about going back to school. I am indeed going back now. We figured it up, if Kent gets the job, that we won't have to move until the middle or end of May. So, I could at least do this one semester and then if we don't end up moving I'm still on track. So with that, I'm going to register Monday. And I'm totally freaking out about it. I know this would be a good thing. And we would benefit so much from it once I'm done. But in the mean time.. it just seems so hard to put myself first. To tell my family, "well it's time for momma to do this.. so wemay have to put *whatever* on the back burner." Does that make any sense? I don't know. I'm just the type person that likes to be completely prepared for everything. I like to know each step that I need to do, so I can do it right. With this.. I feel like I'm just blindly walking around. Please pray that I can just have some peace about this. I could really use it.

I gained 3 pounds over Christmas. I was a bit worried about it. Fearing it was certainly my start to gaining again. But thankfully.. (yay breastfeeding!!) I have since gone back to my original weight. Whew.

Nathan ate a ton tonight for supper. A ton!! He ate jarred sweet potatoes (he seems to only like this one jarred baby food.. the rest.. not a chance), real (table food) green beans and corn and then he ate some puffs and had 1/4 of a mashed up banana. He was a happy little pig.
Well, it's bath time around here. Gotta get my 3 little pigs cleaned and ready for bed!

Going from 1 to 2 kids was nothing for me. People told me it would be hard.. especially with them being so close in age. I prepared myself for the worst. And thankfully, it wasn't hard at all. In fact, for me it was easier going from 1 to 2 than it was to go from 0 to 1. It all just came so naturally.
Fast forward...
Going from 2 to 3 has been the hardest transition for me. I feel like I'm being pulled in all directions. Get up, feed the kids, feed Nathan, change diapers, change clothes, get someone more baba, feed Nathan, change more diapers, play with the kids, wash clothes, iron clothes, fold clothes, get someone more baba, do "school" with the kids, get unreachable toy for someone, feed Nathan, change more diapers, get Nathan away from some one's toy, get some one's little choke hazard toy away from Nathan, fix lunch, play with kids, get someone more baba, find priceless toy for someone, change diapers... and so on and so on and so on (it's not even 3pm yet!). I'm not stretch Armstrong. And to add to all of that.. the sleepless nights are KILLING me. It was all funny at first.. gave me some good material for my blog.. but now.. it's just ridiculous. I'm tired. I'm beyond tired. I just want to sleep at night. Not feed, change, sway, cover and recover a baby every single night..all night. At least not an almost 9 month old baby.
Yeah.. this is the not so pretty side of this momma. The side that comes out with full force and isn't nice, isn't pretty, isn't fun to be around. Thankfully it doesn't show itself often.. but when it does.. I hate it.
Bah.. I'm off to clean something.

Happy 2009!
Well, the first day of 2009 is going very well. All my kids are healthy, my husband is home, we spent time with family earlier today and in a little bit we will all sit down with my family and eat a good meal. So yeah.. 2009 is starting off wonderfully.
I rang in the new year playing "Guitar Hero" with my hunky hubby. We were rocking it out when the clock struck midnight. We gave each other a new year's kiss and continued on with our game. It was pretty funny actually.
I hope every one's year has started off well and that as the year goes on that health and happiness is what you find!!
